Caroline Brazelton is a versatile musician, actress, and performer. With training in both classical and contemporary technique, Caroline has comfortably made a home in both the operatic and musical theater worlds. A daring actress that relies heavily on her secure vocal technique, she believes that no matter the genre of performance, there is a story to be told that can resonate and change lives.

Caroline has been a young artist with multiple programs. Most recently, she was a study grant artist with the Milnes Voice Festivals, playing the lead role of 'Fiona' in Brigadoon. She also performed June Wright in Michael Ching's opera Anna Hunter, while covering the title role as well. During her time with the Savananah Voice Festival, she was also a featured soloist for various fundraisers and outreach events within the 2022 Season.

Caroline has performed the title role of  of Alcina in Handel's Alcina with Chicago Summer Opera.  A favorite of hers will always be 'Gretel' in Hansel and Gretel, which she performed with the Opera Steamboat Artist Institute under the direction of Brian Luedloff in Colorado. Additionally, she has been a young artist with the Vienna Summer Music Festival, playing the role of 'Sheherazade' in the contemporary opera The Loathly Lady by Paul Richards. Here, she also covered 'Musetta' in Puccini’s La Boheme and 'Gretel' in Humperdinck’s Hansel und Gretel.  Caroline has been a young artist with Vancouver Song Institute, Hawaii Performing Arts Festival, and the Amalfi Coast Music and Arts Festival.

Speaking to her true goals of crossover work, Caroline has worked in theaters both central to New York City and throughout the Southern US region. She has revitalized classic roles such as 'Baker’s Wife' in Sondheim’s Into the Woods and 'Cunegonde' in Candide. Adversely, she loves the chance to explore newer roles such as 'Claire' in Adam Gwon’s Ordinary Days. In between, you can always find her power-housing high Cs in any ensemble that may need it.

Caroline has made a name for herself as a concert and cabaret soloist.  Confident in executing traditional works such as the soprano soloist in Handel’s Messiah (Jacksonville Chorale) and an orchestral evening of arias (Riverside Opera Company), there is a sensible grounding that comes from doing these traditional solo works. Caroline also finds freedom in reimagining traditional works and bringing new works to life. She has worked with a number of production companies, both local to New York and regionally, including HiGlass Productions, Elm Street Cultural Arts Village, Don’t Tell Mama NYC, and more.

Caroline is absolutely obsessed with her two cats and has been told too many times that her spirit animal is Monica from the sitcom Friends. She is a cliché millennial when it comes to the obsessive amount of plants in her house and she loves to create her own recipes for pies.

A native to Jacksonville, FL, Caroline currently resides in Jersey City, NJ. She currently studies with Matt Morgan and Beth Roberts and coaches with Brian Garman.
